در یک مطالعه in vitro توانایی عصاره برگ گزنه و جزء فنلی اصلی آن به نام Caffeic malic acid در مهار بیوسنتز متابولیتهای آراشیدونیک اسید بررسی شده و عصاره برگ گزنه واکنشهای مشتق از سیکلواکسیژناز را به صورت وابسته به دوز و فنولیک اسید جداشده از عصاره سنتز لکوترین B4 را به صورت وابسته به دوز مهار نموده است. این مطالعه نشان داد که ویژگیهای ضدالتهابی گزنه به علت اثر آنزیمی روی بیش از یک مسیر است.در یک مطالعه باز ۲ هفتهای روی ۴۰ بیمار مبتلا به درد حاد زانو ناشی از اوستئوآرتریت، آرتریت روماتوئید یا نقرس؛ عصاره برگ گزنه با دیکلوفناک اثر سینرژیستی داشته است.

Description
In an in vitro study, the ability of nettle leaf extract and its main phenolic component called caffeic malic acid to inhibit the biosynthesis of arachidonic acid metabolites was investigated and nettle leaf extract extracted dose-dependent cyclooxygenase-dependent reactions and phenolic acid isolated from leukotriene synthesis extract4. Has been dose-dependent. The study found that nettle’s anti-inflammatory properties were due to its enzymatic effect on more than one pathway. Nettle leaf extract with diclofenac has a synergistic effect.
